MELISSA ROTHSCHILD VICE PRESIDENT, CASTING & DEVELOPMENT

Melissa Rothschild is a leading casting executive, having spent nearly two decades casting some of TV’s most compelling unscripted series. As Vice President of Casting & Development for Antoinette Media, Rothschild oversees casting and development for a slate including such hits as Caught in the Act: Unfaithful and the Miami and Atlanta iterations of the Love & Hip Hop franchise.

Prior to joining Antoinette, Rothschild founded her own casting company, Chatter TV, in 2018. As President of Chatter TV, she cast unscripted series for Netflix, Hulu, A&E, Peacock, YouTube, VH1, Travel Channel, truTV, Food Network, and E! These projects included Bae or Bail, which became Facebook Watch’s top performing show, and TLC wedding special Dragnificent, which received a series pickup.

Previously, Rothschild spent six years with MTV, where she cast multiple Emmy-winning seasons of Made and numerous other hits, including 16 & Pregnant and World of Jenks, the latter becoming MTV’s highest-rated season premiere at the time. She then transitioned to in-house work, serving as Head of Casting & Talent for DiGa Vision, Vice President of Casting for Eastern TV, and Senior Vice President of Talent & Casting for Superb Entertainment.

In addition to her work in the unscripted space, Rothschild has cast commercial campaigns for brands including Adidas, Nerf Pet, Healthgrades.com, and King’s Hawaiian Rolls, as well as The National Coming Out Day campaign for Facebook Watch.

Rothschild started her career in the 1980’s as on-air talent on Romper Room before flourishing behind the camera. She is a proud member of the Casting Society of America (CSA) and the Television Academy.
